Explore North Frisia on two wheels: Our rental bikes and e-bikes are ready for you!
The area Hattstedtermarsch is an ideal starting point for extensive cycling tours along the coast. Cycle along kilometres of dykes and let your eyes wander over fields, meadows and the North Sea with its never-ending horizon.
In addition to our brand new e-bikes and rental bikes, we not only have cycling maps available for you at the reception, but will also happy to support you with tips for planning your tour. We are looking forward to your booking or enquiry.
Brand new and ready for your coastal tour: Our high-quality e-bikes from Riese & Müller are brand new and are waiting to go on an eventful bike tour with you.
Rental price: 28 € / day
You can already request the e-bikes when booking online or alternatively rent them from our reception (subject to availability) – in both cases the invoice will be issued on site.
In case you prefer to use pure muscle power to get around on your bike tour, conventional city bikes are of course available as well. These bikes are also brand new and of very high quality.

Dear Guests,
From January 2 to February 28, 2025, our North Sea Hotel Arlau-Schleuse and our restaurant Deichgraf will be closed for a holiday break. True to the motto: “We’re not standing still, we’re just gaining momentum,” we’ll return with renewed energy and great anticipation for the new year.
Even during our holiday break, our reception remains available Monday – Saturday from 9 am – 4 pm via phone and email. Online bookings for the period afterward are still possible at any time.
We look forward to welcoming you back starting March 1, 2025.
The entire team of the North Sea Hotel Arlau-Schleuse wishes you and your loved ones a relaxing holiday season and a great start to the New Year 2025.
IMPORTANT: One exception we as North Frisians can’t resist: During the Biike season (February 20–23, 2025), our hotel will be open, offering our special Biike arrangement. Secure your room now and join us in bidding farewell to winter.
In our digital guest folder you can find all the important information, offers and recommendations for your stay with us at any time, even from home.
For example, send us your completed registration form in advance and everything will be ready for you when you arrive.
Come with us on a culinary journey through the year with many seasonal and regional delicacies.
Whether in summer temperatures on our large terrace directly on the Arlau or in our cozy parlors in Frisian slippery weather – enjoy a little break in the middle of nature.
